1. Who we are

AmpVerve Ltd (“AmpVerve”, “we”, “us”) is registered in England and Wales. We operate the AmpVerve energy platform at ampverve.com and app.ampverve.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, organisation, and role when you create an account or contact us. We also collect usage data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and interaction data through cookies and analytics tools.

For connected energy assets, we collect telemetry data including charge state, power output, temperature, and operational metrics necessary to deliver our optimisation services.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve our services, communicate with you about your account, send service updates, and comply with legal obligations. Asset telemetry data is used for energy optimisation, grid flexibility services, and generating analytics dashboards.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with: service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, analytics, payment processing), grid operators and energy market participants as required to deliver flexibility services, and law enforcement when required by law.

5. Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Asset telemetry data is retained for the duration of the service agreement plus 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting privacy@ampverve.com.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@ampverve.com.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. See our Security page for details.

ICO registration: AmpVerve Ltd is registering with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). The registration reference number will be published here once issued.

Lawful basis: We process personal data on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR Article 6: (a) consent for marketing communications and analytics cookies; (b) contract for service delivery to customers; (c) legitimate interests for service improvement, fraud prevention and security; (d) legal obligation for tax, audit and regulatory reporting.

International transfers: Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, including to our cloud infrastructure provider Microsoft Azure (which may process data in EU, US or other regions per the customer’s region selection), transfers are protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Copies of these agreements are available on request.
