Does AmpVerve charge a monthly fee?
AmpVerve is paid only from the grid revenue it generates for you. If there is no revenue in a given period, there is nothing to pay. Commercial terms are agreed clearly before you join.
Will my home be cold or my car uncharged?
No. You define every rule: minimum temperature, minimum EV charge, hot water schedule. AmpVerve's Safety Agent checks every grid instruction against your rules before sending it. If a dispatch would breach a rule, it is not issued.
Do I need to buy any new hardware?
No. AmpVerve connects to the equipment you already own via standard smart home protocols. If your heat pump, EV charger or home battery is compatible, you are ready to go without any additional purchase.
When does the residential app launch?
Residential onboarding is opening through a structured pilot evaluation. Register your interest for priority onboarding and we will let you know when your area is supported.
Does my postcode affect how much I earn?
Yes. Revenue varies by DNO distribution territory. Areas such as SSEN South East, UKPN (London and East England) and NGED (Midlands) have active flexibility tender windows, which affects the markets available. Use our calculator to check your postcode.
What if I want to pause or stop?
Pause grid participation with one tap in the app. Your assets revert to their standard schedules. Specific terms are set out in your pilot agreement.
How is my revenue paid?
Revenue settles into your AmpVerve account and can be transferred to your bank. Every payment is itemised and linked to the grid event that generated it.
What UK grid markets does AmpVerve access for homes?
DNO local flexibility tenders (SSEN, UKPN, NGED, ENW), EPEX SPOT intraday wholesale trading, Dynamic Containment and Dynamic Regulation ancillary services, and N2EX day-ahead wholesale optimisation. The combination of markets available depends on your asset type and location.
