Will grid dispatch affect my data centre uptime or building operations?
No. AmpVerve dispatches within pre-agreed power envelopes that always maintain your full backup capacity and operational requirements. Your uptime SLAs, whether Tier III, Tier IV or any other standard, are hard constraints in the dispatch model. They cannot be overridden. Your operations team retains one-click override control at all times. If a dispatch event would breach any operational constraint, it simply does not happen.
How does AmpVerve connect to my existing infrastructure?
AmpVerve integrates via standard industrial protocols: Modbus TCP for generators and BESS, BACnet for BMS systems, SNMP for UPS controllers, OCPP for EV chargers and OpenADR for demand response. We connect to your existing control systems without replacing them or requiring new hardware. Integration typically completes within two weeks.
What revenue share does AmpVerve take?
AmpVerve takes 10-15% of the revenue generated. You keep 85-90%. Revenue share applies once the programme moves to ongoing service. Commercial terms agreed up front. If we earn nothing, you pay nothing.
How quickly can I start earning?
Integration typically takes two weeks. Market registration takes an additional two to four weeks depending on the specific markets and your DNO territory. Most facilities begin earning within 30-45 days of starting the onboarding process. The 90-day period begins from your first market dispatch, not from contract signature.
Can my backup generators really participate in grid markets?
Backup generators are eligible for the Capacity Market and the Balancing Mechanism, and these markets specifically value assets that can provide power on demand. AmpVerve cannot open either route for you today: Capacity Market registration is not held, and the Elexon Balancing Mechanism interfaces are built but pending accreditation. What AmpVerve can dispatch your generators into today is DNO local flexibility and the NESO Demand Flexibility Service, handling all market interactions within your approved parameters.
